1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced one or more forms of gender-based violence in their lifetime.

The Violence against Persons Prohibition Act supports the rights of persons. The law prohibits all forms of violence in private and public life including physical violence, sexual violence, psychological violence, domestic violence, emotional violence, and harmful traditional practices. The law also guarantees that survivors of gender-based violence are adequately protected and provided with effective remedies, and ensures maximum punishment for offenders.

Every day, more violence against women surfaces, and in recent times, it has not been better. Despite the VAPP Act being in existence since 2015, many people default and still commit these heinous crimes.

The stories you are about to read encourage survivors to speak up and call out the perpetrators of violent Acts. EVA encourages speaking up and will always be there for survivors, and that is why we have the MyQuestion service, which you can access 24/7
