Adolescent health has been neglected in the past in our State. It is partners like Education as a Vaccine that are inspiring us on to make a change. Due to our social and cultural issues, communities have lived in denial of sexuality issues for adolescents. It is this that has influenced our health providers to deny some young people their [Sexual and Reproductive] health rights. We are happy that EVA has enormous experience with adolescents issues and funders like UNICEF and UNFPA are supporting them to expand their expertise to influence the actions of Benue state. Things will change and are continuing to change.
