This shadow report presents facts and data on Nigeria’s implementation of Goals 3 (Good Health & Wellbeing), 4 (Quality Education), & 5 (Gender Equality) so far. This will complement the review report on the listed goals submitted by the Nigerian government, with some indicators of interest. We compared trends using national and international data to evaluate Nigeria’s progress in the implementation of the SDGs, before and after the adoption of the goals. Data was sourced from the Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) 2013 & 2018, and UNAIDS country data for Nigeria. We also used data from opinion articles, international & multilateral organizations, as well as peer-reviewed research articles.
