EVA has a history of amplifying the voices of young women and girls. Through the What Was She Wearing project, EVA did so, using storytelling for change and calling for the timely implementation of the Violence against Persons Prohibition Act in Kaduna and Benue states.
We had collected harrowing stories of survivors! The project culminated into a state-level exhibition that attracted stakeholders and decision-makers who can facilitate the implementation of appropriate policies and laws that frowns at violence against women and girls, and supports survivors.
Our photobook beautifully showcases the lived experiences of adolescent girls and young women who shared stories of their rape and other abusive encounters.
