A Report on Young Adolescents' Access to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Services and Information: A Focus Group Discussion

Despite the recognition of youth-friendly reproductive health services as a way of improving access and utilisation of SRH services in order to achieve quality SRH, adolescents' SRH needs and problems have yet to receive adequate attention, particularly in developingcountries like Nigeria.

This study was conducted in Kado kuchi Junior secondary school and in Jahi community in the Federal Capital Territory.

This study employed qualitative research methods. The qualitative approach provided an understanding of the participants' perceptions and also allows researchers to obtain rich dataset of lived experiences of participants in regard to SRH information and services utilisation.

A focus group discussion was carried out with key participants to explore their views on the enablers and barriers to young adolescents' access to SRHR information.
