VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

EVA’s volunteer program is an unpaid opportunity for people looking to develop their technical skills and gain a better understanding of development work. Over the years EVA has had various national and international volunteers working in areas such as:

  • Communication
  • Education and Information
  • Service Delivery
  • Advocacy
  • Finance and Administration

EVA’s volunteer program enables volunteers to be fully immersed in the development field, including project implementation and proposal development.

Volunteer Requirements:

Our volunteers should have:

  • At least a secondary school leaving certificate
  • Passion for working with young people
  • Willingness to learn from others and be part of a team
  • Availability of at least 3 days per week (8.30am to 5pm)

Benefits of the Program:

  • Hands-on experience in the development field
  • An opportunity to attend external training provided by EVA’s partners
  • Interaction and networking with stakeholders in the development field
  • An opportunity to contribute to humanitarian work

Upon satisfactory completion of the program, a formal recommendation will be written, which can be used to secure employment with other development organisations.

Important:

Although the volunteer program is unpaid, volunteers are bound to the rules and regulations of EVA’s Employee Policy. Participating in the program does not guarantee a job placement with EVA. However, if there is a job opening volunteers are given first consideration, based on the position requirements.
